ABOUT

Anna Korolovszky is graduated of the Academy of Fine Arts in Hungary, Budapest on the Faculty of Graphic Arts. Anna is a freelance graphic designer, art director & visual artist creates on a broad perspective. Her work is outstanding in poster design – Anna creates the posters of Szkéné Theatre, she plays active role in the Hungarian Poster Association and takes part on poster biennales on a regular basis and participated in numerous graphic arts and design exhibitions both in Hungary and abroad (Spain, Poland, France, Germany, Croatia, Belgium, Uruguay, Dubai, China, Ukraine, Bolivia, USA).

Her work is characterized by brave gestures, flavourful lines, patches, manual and digital techniques alike used with a pinch of humor, wherever relevant. She often uses collage technique to build new connotation by integrating different parts. She never overstrides the border of interpretabilty, thus transmits ideas based on content.
Anna’s continuously experimenting and aspiring work with the characteristic presence of manual techniques reminds us of the richest era of poster art.

Currently she teaches graphic design in Budapest Metropolitan University.
Anna is a co-founder of OPLA project that primarily concerned with poster art, and with related artistic genres and phenomena. OPLA’s goal is to promote and keep Hungarian poster art alive and connected to the international poster art scene.
